New Ways to Get Job Offer and Visa to US, UK, Canada & 3 Other Countries Right Now

Since the beginning of 2025, I have applied for Work Permits and Permanent Residency Visas to Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States — and guess what? I got approved for all six big countries within 1 to 2 weeks.

🇨🇦 Canada – My Global Talent Stream Shortcut

Canada was my first stop. The country is known for being immigration-friendly, and I went straight for the Global Talent Stream (GTS) because I had some experience in tech.

Exactly what I did:

I created a profile on Job Bank Canada

Uploaded a Canadian-style CV

Got a job offer from a company under the GTS program

The employer submitted the LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) application

And the documents I submitted:

My Passport
Job offer letter
Educational Credential Assessment (ECA)
IELTS score (CLB 7 and above)
Police clearance
Proof of funds

Within 10 business days, I received my work permit. My company later guided me through Express Entry, and within months I got Permanent Residency.

Tip: Canada has Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) that don’t require a job offer. I met a Nigerian in Alberta who got in that way.

🇬🇧 United Kingdom – Quick Approval via Skilled Worker Visa

The UK was next. I used their Skilled Worker Visa route. Healthcare, tech, and education are in high demand.

Exactly what I did:

I visited Find AJob – UK

Applied for a data analyst position and got a job offer

Received a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS)

And the documents I submitted:

My Passport
Certificate of Sponsorship (from my employer)
Proof of English (IELTS)
TB test (mandatory for Nigerians and many African countries)
Police clearance

I paid for priority processing, and in 7 working days, I had my UK visa. I’ve since applied for Indefinite Leave to Remain (PR).

Tip: The UK often fast-tracks health workers. If you're a nurse, lab tech, or caregiver, your chances are even higher.

🇮🇪 Ireland – Critical Skills Permit Made It Easy

Ireland blew my mind with how simple the process was under the Critical Skills Employment Permit. I didn’t even need to go through a labor market test.

Exactly what I did:

I applied for a job in Cyber Security using LinkedIn

Got a contract offer and salary above €32,000 threshold

And that's all. Yes, as simple as that

And the documents I submitted:

My employment contract
Passport bio-data page
Proof of qualifications (degree)
Payscale confirmation from the employer

Processing took exactly 2 weeks. I was given a Stamp 1, and after 2 years I’m eligible for Stamp 4, which grants permanent residency.

Tip: If you work in ICT, healthcare, or engineering — you’re golden in Ireland.

🇦🇺 Australia – Global Talent Independent (No Job Offer Needed!)

I was skeptical about Australia until I discovered the Global Talent Independent Visa (GTI). It’s one of the few that don’t need a job offer if you’re highly skilled.

Exactly what I did:

I applied via the GTI program under the “Digital” sector

Submitted proof of high earnings potential and work samples

Attached academic qualifications and my LinkedIn profile

And the documents I submitted:

Proof of English
ID and passport
Degree certificate
Recommendation letters
Resume

Within 2 weeks, I received an invitation to apply. The residency part took a little longer but was straightforward.

Tip: Australia also offers a Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa if you already have a job offer in fields like nursing, mechanics, or construction.

🇳🇿 New Zealand – Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV)

I was told by a friend that New Zealand needed workers badly, so I jumped on their AEWV program and, surprisingly, it worked.

Exactly what I did:

I applied for a skilled worker role through Seek NZ

In just few days I got hired by an accredited employer

And the documents I submitted:

My employment agreement
Passport
Police certificate
Proof of skills (via Trade Certificate)
Medical test results

My work visa was approved in 8 business days. And after working for 2 years, I am free to apply for residency from work.

Tip: Many employers are happy to sponsor foreign workers due to labor shortages in trades and agriculture.

🇺🇸 United States – H-1B and EB-3 Visa Route

Let’s talk about the giant — America. I thought the process would take forever, but I was pleasantly surprised when my H-1B visa was processed in record time due to the "premium processing service".

Exactly what I did:

After applying online, a U.S. company offered me a tech role

They filed the H-1B with premium processing (15 calendar days)

And the documents I submitted:

My academic transcripts
Resume
Proof of experience
Passport
Labor Condition Application (done by the employer)

Later, I pursued the EB-3 Green Card, and as a bonus, even low-skill workers like caregivers, truck drivers, and cooks are eligible.

Tip: Use agencies like HIRE IT PEOPLE if you're in Tech or Vibra Healthcare if you’re in healthcare.

🧳 What You’ll Need to Apply – The Basics

In order to get it right from the start, have these documents lined up:

🛂 Valid international passport (at least 6 months to expiry)

📄 Updated CV (Canadian or UK style)

💬 English proficiency test (IELTS or equivalent)

NOTE: Some visa programs like Canada’s Express Entry or Australia’s GTI let you apply without a job offer, based on your skills alone!

🧘‍♀️ Start Now – Even If You’re Not 100% Ready

Initially, I was nervous too. I thought:

“What if they reject me? Do I even qualify? Can I afford this?”

But when I got my first visa approval, it changed everything. Today, I have options. I can work anywhere, send money home, and give my family a more comfortable future.

Even if you don’t want to migrate yet, apply for a Holiday Visa or a Working Holiday Permit — just to see the world and get a feel. Some people found employers while on vacation!
